Arabian Princess Makeup Tutorial

Assalamualaikum.

Hey lovelies! Finally I'm back with a new makeup tutorial that I think is easy to do and suitable for party or any occasions. I had always interested in Arabian makeup because I think the makeup look are gorgeous and stunning plus most Arabian women are really beautiful and they can pull off this dramatic makeup very well.Honestly, I was hesitated to do this makeup tutorial because somehow I think that I can't pull off this look just like the arabian women. Maybe because one of the reason is my eye shapes is different from others. I think I have hooded eyes shape so it's really hard to work with it. Haha enough with that.

So if you haven't watch it, feel free to check them out :)

Tips on how to organize hijab pins

Assalamualaikum.

In today's entry, I would like to share my tips on how to organize hijab pins. Well, when I started wearing hijab, I don't really have that many hijab pins. Because I started wearing hijab before Ramadhan month, so I thought I should buy more hijab pins for Eid Mubarak. But one thing that I hate is I keep losing all the pins and end up buying it more and more. So then, I decided to buy a bunch of straight hijab pins and it's too many, I don't really know how to organize it. I really want to save up some space for other stuff too. I'd been searching for tips and idea how to store all this pins, so I'll ended up with this idea that I get from awesome and beautiful Youtube Guru, AMENAKIN.

Okay let's get started with this:

What you're going to need is

A case with a dividers

Any type of case with a divider is a must in this. You can choose any color or shape that you desire. Why I choose this case is because it's big and also it got a lot of compartment that you can store all your hijab pins. Mine are slightly different than this but it's still work.

Straight Hijab Pins

Brooch / Flower Pins / Decorative Pin

Safety Pins

So that's basically what you need and if you haven't watch my video about this, feel free to check them out :)

Until next time,

Putri

MY GRADUATION DAY

Assalamualaikum.

Hey guys welcome back to my blog :)

On 5 December 2013, me and my college mates managed to complete our study and we were given our diploma. This is one experience that I could not forget because I spend 3 years and face many hardship with college activities. I experienced so many hardships during that time, facing a difficult assignments and exam that is intellectually challenging. If you learned about Aviation and Tourism subject, you will know how hard it was. As a student, my daily routine always off track, sometimes my sleeping routine disrupted due to delay assignments (in fact I do it last minute. LOL), and also social activities with friends did teach me a lot throughout my journey as a student. Before I started wearing hijab, I always spend my night whether practicing my dance for upcoming performances, or go out with my housemates until over midnight. It was fun but tiring because I'll end up getting very sleepy if I had an early class the next morning. Even though my life is full with this activities, but still I will try to catch up what I studied so that whenever there are exams, I can still answer it well and my results never disappointed me.Okay so enough with this, so lets jump to my convocation day.

The day before the convocation, we do get a chance to do our rehearsal on how to walk, bow and take the certificate. It was okay tho yet funny because I can see that everyone are a bit awkward. HAHA. But what makes me happy is, I get to meet up some of my best friends and we get to hangout after the rehearsal ends. That night we went to Middle East Restaurant to fill in our empty stomach. Hehe

First batch of Diploma in Aviation & Tourism Management (DATM) that will be graduating.

Photobomb time! HAHA

Haiza and me. I heart this girl so much :)

The next morning, we had our last rehearsal before the actual ceremony start. Honestly I hate all the rehearsal thing because it takes a long time to end and we only get a little time to get ready and believe it or not, I didn't even get a chance to eat at all. Okay enough with that. So the actual event start from 1 pm where the parents and family members come to register their attendance. While they are waiting for the graduants and the VIP guests to enter the hall, they were entertained with a performances from the Aerodancers (our dance group).

Me & Syafik ( He is like a little brother to me)

Selfie :)

Me and Fea (We called her Fea Chan because she looks like chinese)

Can you see that all of us are really nervous? HAHA

Approximately at 2.30 pm, all the graduants entered the hall and the event started. Our convocation ceremony ends around 4.30 pm to 5.00 pm. Okay now lets the picture entertained you :)

I forgot to mention that there are 60 students that is finally graduated and gain their diploma :)

Me and my friends. I heart them so much :)

My little sister, Eqis :)

She does looks a bit like me but we aren't the same. HAHA

I wish my other sister were here to celebrate my special day but still I love my family so much :)

DIY Blackhead Removal

Assalamualaikum.

Hi guys! It's Putri here. In today's entry, I'm going talk about blackheads. Actually, what is blackheads and what cause it to happen?

What are Blackheads?
Blackheads are small bumps that appear on your skin due to clogged hair follicles. These bumps are called “blackheads” because the surface looks dark or black. Blackheads are a mild type of acne that usually form on the face, but they can also appear on the back, chest, neck, arms, and shoulders.

Some factors can increase your chances of developing acne and blackheads, including:
    • producing too much body oil
    • buildup of the p. acnes bacteria (propionibacterium acnes) on the skin
    • irritation of the hair follicles when dead skins cells don’t shed on a regular basis
    • undergoing hormonal changes that cause an increase in oil production during the teen years, during menstruation, or while taking birth control pills
    • taking certain drugs, such as corticosteroids, lithium, or androgens

    What Are Symptoms of Blackheads?
  • Blackheads are easy to spot on the skin because of their dark color. They are slightly raised, although they are not painful because they are not inflamed like pimples. Pimples form when bacteria invade the blockage in the hair follicle, causing redness and inflammation.

    How Can It Be Treated?

    • Acne Medication
    • Prescriptions Medication
    • Manual Removal
    • Chemical Removal
    • Laser & Light Therapy
(Sources from Heathline)

How Can We Prevent Blackheads To Happen?
  • Wash your face twice a day, after you wake up from your bed and before you're going to bed.
  • Wash your hair regularly especially if it's oily because the oil on the hair can contribute to clogged the pores .
  • Use any oil-free products such as skin care, makeup, lotions or sunscreen
  • Exfoliate your face twice a week to remove any dead skin cells and it can help to reduce the amount of blackheads on the face
As I explained above, the blackheads cans be super annoying and gross. So we have to always make sure that we treat this problem. I understand that most of the blackheads removal product that is sold in the market are quite expensive and does not work as we expected. But actually we can create our own blackhead removal products using any ingredients in our house. I already make a video about this and if you haven't watch it, feel free to check them out :)

Excited News!!

Assalamualaikum.

Last week, my friend told me to check my email because our college did send something to us. So I did check my email and when I see it, I was shocked and I cried for a few minutes. I just can't believe that I will be graduating. Yes GRADUATING. I will be graduating on 5th December 2013. I'm pretty excited and also nervous. I don't really know why I'm so nervous but maybe it's going to be my special day and I want everything to be perfect.

This whole convocation thing does bother me a lot. I need to think what outfit I should wear on that day, what kind of makeup look that suitable for that, how can I make sure that my makeup will stay put and look great in photograph and also what should I bring in my bag and stuff like that. So I did find an outfit that I like and it still not done yet. I will show it when it done later. I make some research on YouTube, Google, Pinterest to find suitable makeup look for graduation and most of it the makeup looks are very simple and not overdone. So I came up with this makeup look that I think is simple yet elegant. If you haven't watch my tutorial on this, please check them out :)

I'm not sure if I'm going to make an outfit inspiration for graduation or not because I have no time and pretty busy with work. So I think that's all that I'm going to write.

Bye.

OOTD while I'm in a trip to Cameron Highlands

Assalamualaikum.

While I'm on vacation to Cameron Highlands, I get a chance to style for a cold weather *I lived in Kuala Lumpur area so it's pretty hot every day. I get to wear my coats that is in my closet for ages. Haha

So for the first day outfit, I wear my favourite denim shirts that I think I got it from second hand shop / bundle and I paired it with a black straight cut pants from Peace Collection. For hijab, I choose this teal color pashmina and for accessories, I only wear my gold watch from Quartz and my cheap sunglasses. I only got it below than RM10. HAHA. To complete the whole look, I choose to wear my glitter shoes that I bought from Night Market and yeah my bag is from Unisa if I'm not mistaken.

For the second day outfit, I decided to be a little bit feminine and I choose my sleeveless black dress from Aishop and underneath I'm wearing this long sleeves turtle neck purple shirt from second hand shop. Because in the morning, the weather is not extremely cold, so I paired it with my sleeveless denim jacket. I choose this beige brownish shawl as my hijab. To complete the whole look, I accessorize my whole look with gold watch from Quartz and Leopard Print flat shoes from Tesco.

For the last day outfit, we need to wear this group shirt together with other family that came there. I want to be different than the others so I tucked in my shirt under my black maxi skirt that I bought from Kenanga Wholesale and underneath that skirt, I did wear leggings because the skirt is a bit see through. Than I take my flannel shirt and wear it as an outerwear. I rolled the sleeves up a bit and for the accessories, I paired my gold watch, silver ring, sunglasses from Bonita and bracelet that I don't know how to describe it. HAHA. For hijab, I decided to wear black pashmina only and for shoes, I wear my glitter shoes again. Haha

So if you haven't watch my OOTD video yet, please check them out :)
